NASHVILLE – June 4, 2013 – Nashville is gearing up for its biggest party of the year as the 2013 CMT MUSIC AWARDS is set to air LIVE tomorrow, Wednesday, June 5 at 8:00 p.m., ET/PT on CMT and CMT.com. The 2013 CMT MUSIC AWARDS will feature the most performances in a CMT awards show EVER, and this year will include special performances by rocker Lenny Kravitz teaming up with Jason Aldean, and rapper Nelly joining Florida Georgia Line on their hit “Cruise.” Kacey Musgraves is also set to perform on the live show, marking her first time as a CMT awards mainstage performer. The star power continues to increase as this year’s show open will include appearances by Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, Dr. Drew, Kelsey Grammer, Lorraine Bracco, Luke Bryan, Reba and Vince Vaughn.
Additional presenters include “The Carrie Diaries” AnnaSophia Robb, Twitter Tracker presenter Cassadee Pope, Dax Shepard, Ed Sheeran, Jana Kramer, Kenny Rogers, Sheryl Crow and The Band Perry. They will join previously announced presenters Charles Esten, Duane “Dog” and Beth Chapman, Florida Georgia Line, Keith Urban, Kellie Pickler, Kevin and Michael Bacon of The Bacon Brothers, Larry the Cable Guy, Lisa Marie Presley and Scotty McCreery.
Hosted by Jason Aldean and Kristen Bell, the 2013 CMT MUSIC AWARDS will include performances by Carrie Underwood, Darius Rucker, Florida Georgia Line, Hunter Hayes, Jason Aldean, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, Luke Bryan and Taylor Swift. Acclaimed group The Mavericks will serve as the official house band of the evening. Voting is now closed for this year’s show, but the six finalists for VIDEO OF THE YEAR will be announced at the beginning of the live show and fans can then vote at CMT.com, CMT mobile, on the CMT Insider app and via text message throughout the live telecast (ET/CT only) to determine the night’s big winner.
Prior to the main event, the hottest stars in country, rock and pop culture entertainment will step out in their designer best at the 2013 CMT MUSIC AWARDS RED CARPET, hosted by CMT’s Cody Alan, Katie Cook and Allison DeMarcus LIVE on Wednesday, June 5 at 7:00 p.m., ET/PT on CMT and CMT.com. The CMT hosts will report live from the star-studded red carpet with exclusive interviews, candid moments and a first look at the fashion choices of the night’s biggest stars.
Veteran live event producer Michael Dempsey returns to executive produce the 2013 CMT MUSIC AWARDS alongside director Joe DeMaio. John Hamlin and Margaret Comeaux serve as executive producers for CMT.

Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran will take to the stage together for the first time next week when they perform their single ‘Everything Has Changed’ during the Britain’s Got Talent live finale on June 8.
Following on from Jennifer Lopez’s controversial and risque performance of ‘Live It Up’ earlier this week, show organisers have announced that BFFs Taylor and Ed will be taking to the stage to give what will no doubt be a tamer performance compared to J.Lo’s racy offering.
The dynamic duo, who are currently travelling together on Taylor’s tour, will sing their collaboration ‘Everything Has Changed,’ which features on the country hitmaker’s latest album ‘Red.’ So far this series, Britain’s Got Talent has enjoyed appearances from J.Lo, Demi Lovato and Olly Murs who will be performing on tonight’s show.
Taylor and Ed will no doubt be hoping to attract less controversy which J.Lo has experienced in the last week following her daring performance on Tuesday, which saw her dance around the stage scantily-clad in a tight black leotard and thigh-high leather boots.
The singer’s performance has received more than 100 complaints from media watchdog Ofcom, who say that they are looking into the situation. Ed recently gushed about touring with Taylor revealing that she is playing the perfect hostess to members of her crew.
“She’s great to be on tour with, she treats me and the crew very well. I’m really enjoying the tour,” Taylor told HollywoodLife.
Speaking on Taylor’s songwriting talents, Ed continued: “I think you sing about what you know. There’s nothing worse than singing a song that has no relevance to you, and all the songs she’s singing have a deep relevance to her. “They’re all personal.”

This summer, TODAY will once again put the rock in Rockefeller Plaza, bringing together the hottest hit-makers for its 18th Annual Summer Concert Series.
There’s no better way to officially kick off summer than with some fun — the indie pop band fun., that is. On Friday, May 24, in their first-ever TODAY concert, the Grammy award winners will be turning “Some Nights” into one great morning.
This year’s lineup also includes One Direction and Chris Brown, two veteran TODAY sensations who brought record-setting crowds in previous plaza performances. The 2013 series also features rock bands Maroon 5, Train and Fall Out Boy as well as singer-songwriters John Mayer, Michael Buble, Phillip Phillips and Ed Sheeran. In addition, boy bands New Kids on the Block, 98 Degrees, and Boyz II Men will join forces in one blow-out concert, and Lionel Richie will surely have the crowd “Dancing on the Ceiling.” The concert series also brings bright country music stars to the morning show stage with The Band Perry, Hunter Hayes and Luke Bryan.

There’s nothing small about the Billboard Music Awards — but it will have Lil Wayne. Weezy will join a number of new additions to the May 19 event, including label mate Nicki Minaj and stars including Jennifer Lopez, Chris Brown, Ed Sheeran, Akon, Ne-Yo, David Guetta and “I Love It” breakthrough act Icona Pop.
Wayne and Minaj will pair for a performance, while Ne-Yo and Akon will crash the turntables with Guetta.
The Las Vegas show will air on ABC at 8 ET, live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena. “30 Rock” alum Tracy Morgan will host, with Don Mischer producing.
The star-studded show has previously announced performances from Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, Miguel, Justin Bieber, Pitbull, Christina Aguilera, Selena Gomez, the Band Perry, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Kacey Musgraves and Prince, with the latter set to receive the Billboard Icon Award.
Bieber, Swift and Mars are also vying for the Milestone Award, presented by Chevrolet, which is a fan-driven honor that one voter will get to present at the show alongside Cee Lo Green.
Swift, fun. and Maroon 5 top the finalists at the 2013 awards, with each included in 11 categories. Rihanna competes in 10 categories, including Top Artist against Swift, Maroon 5, Justin Bieber and One Direction, while a pair of younger artists — Carly Rae Jepsen and 1D themselves — are finalists in nine and eight categories, respectively.
Billboard Music Awards finalists were based on key fan interactions with music, including album and digital singles sales, radio airplay, touring, streaming and social interactions on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, VEVO, Spotify and other popular online destinations for music.
